Airports

The Kaldan International Airport is the only public airport in all of Kaldus. This airport will be close to the center of the country with trains and buses serving beyond the airport. This will allow passengers to come and go from the airport to their final destination. With that in mind, there will be a need for building out high speed rail to compete in time with relation to flight. By doing this, it would eliminate the need for regional airports since the rail network will be faster.

The Kaldan International Airport will be managed by the government for air traffic control, and security. Anyone wishing to enter the airport must have government ID, or a passport. All baggage will go through screening, and everyone will go through screening of body scans. Exceptions to this will be people whom have been cleared by the Airport with credentials to assure that they won’t break the rules with regards to the airport.

The airport will handle all size aircrafts from the smallest 2 rider aircraft to the large Airbus A-380, and Boeing 747. In addition, there will be helipads for helicopters for those that have helicopters, but no aircraft. All aircrafts must be approved before entering airspace. This is to reduce the chance of things going wrong. Once in Kaldan airspace, the pilot must keep in regular contact with the Kaldan International Airport. If any aircraft enters the airspace illegally, then the National Guard will intercept the aircraft and escort them to the airport. The owner of the aircraft might then be fined with an escort fee. Failure to pay this fee will forbid the particular airline from flying within the country again.

There will be a separate, and private entry for any military aircraft, or the RA-1 aircraft. These entrances are monitored by the National Guard with the Royal Guard protecting the RA-1, and its respective vehicle transport aircraft. These entrances can not be entered by the general public. And since the Kaldan Military does not have a large fighter aircraft inventory, this section of the airport might be smaller when compared to the other parts of the airport.

And while not technically an airport, every county will have a heliport. You can think of a heliport as an airport exclusively for helicopters. This heliport will have a larger area blocked off for military helicopters including medical ambulatory helicopters, police helicopters, and a private space for the royal helicopter. This is to assure that the royal family will be able to go anywhere in the nation without worrying about landing, or having security compromised.

Very wealthy people with the land required can apply for a private airport allowance. This private airport will only be intended for up to 5 aircrafts, and the owner of the airport will be required to pay to man the airport if that is something that needs to be done. As with all other aircraft, a flight plan must be laid out before airplane flights.
