License Plates

The license plate is to identify the vehicle, and owner. The number of characters will depend on the license plate type, but all plates will be intended to do the same thing. It is required that the plate is in the rear of the vehicle. This will allow National Guard police to do warrant searches based on the license plate. It will also provide accurate information in case the vehicle has to be pulled over. tractor trailer trucks must have their license plate in the front and rear of the vehicle. In addition, every trailer must have its own plate as well.

All common license plates will have 3 Letters + 4 numbers. In the case of motorcycles, the plate will always start with M. Therefore, a car with a license plate starting with M will likely be a stolen plate. There are some vehicle plates that would not be the norm. This is for specialized vehicle plates such as government plates, or disabled person plates. The list below will provide for the type of plates available.

  • CG: County Government
  • DP: Disabled Person
  • FD: Foreign Diplomat
  • NG: National Guard

These plates will have the 2 character at the start followed by 5 numbers rather than the 3 letter + 4 number setup that a standard plate might have. This mean CGI 2034 is a regular plate, but CG1 3858 is a County Government Plate. Anytime there is a 0, the zero will have a dot in the center of the zero to designate that it is a 0.
